                                Think of the students in your class. Which of these
                                barriers do some of them face? What other barriers
                                to  learning  and  participation  can  you  think  of?
                                Choose four students in your class for whom you
                                have concerns and make notes about which barriers
                                may  be  affecting  their  attitudes,  behaviour  and
                                learning outcomes.

                                reflect on your current understanding of inclusive
                                education and try to answer the following questions
                                to help you plan how to organize your teaching in a
                                more inclusive way:

                                1.  Classroom environment
                                   •  What does it look like when you first enter?
                                       Is  it  welcoming,  interesting,  attractive  and
                                       stimulating?
                                   •  What  could  you  do  to  enhance  the
                                       classroom immediately?
                                   •  What  could  you  do  that  might  need  more
                                       time  and  resources?  Where  could  you  get
                                       help for this?
