CO&SO – CONSORZIO PER LA COOPERAZIONE E LA SOLIDARIETA’- CONSORZIO DI COOPERATIVE SOCIALI-SOCIETA’ COOPERATTIVA SOCIALE – Italy – Project Coordinator

Co&So is a consortium of cooperatives located in Tuscany region which includes 40 social and not social cooperatives working in the social and cultural fields. Co&So counts 31 employees who provide services to the associated. The main services are:

administration, monitoring the calls and as a consequence to submit calls most on public procurement, offering European opportunities in order to promote innovation in the cooperatives in terms of improving employees’ competences and services, quality certification, communication. All together the staff working in the associated cooperatives is 3400 professionals and the annual income of Co&So is about €90.000.000 which is composed by the services provided by all the cooperatives. In Co&so there is a special office working just on European funding with very skilled staff who has more than 10 years of experience in the field. Areas of activities in which the CO&SO and its cooperatives provide their services are:

  • Social care, healthcare and housing;
  • Support to migrants, asylum seekers and refugees as well as to other disadvantaged groups;
  • Culture and tourism;
  • Education and youth;
  • Vocational trainings and job placements.

Taking only into consideration the social inclusion services for disadvantaged adults there are 7 cooperatives working in the area of Florence, Lucca, Grosseto, Prato and Arezzo and around 120 services including daycare centers, residential centers for migrants, social housing, cultural mediation, job insertion and other services and projects addressed to marginalised persons managed on behalf of the Public Authorities. There are about 400 qualified working in this sector and services reach over 4300 beneficiaries.

DANMAR COMPUTERS SP. Z O.O. – Poland

Danmar Computers LLC, established in 2000, is a private company operating in the field of Information Technology and providing vocational training in this field. Danmar has experience in developing modern Web and mobile applications that are used for educational purposes. Danmar also has long-term experience of carrying out European projects within which the R&D staff conducts research and prepares trainings tailored to the needs of various learners. It has successfully implemented over 90 projects within Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, Progress and recently Erasmus+. Besides being the technical partner, in many of these projects Danmar is responsible for designing and coordinating dissemination strategies. Danmar Computers is the developer and provider of AdminProject, the on-line system for management of European projects.

All activities of the company are based on wide and well-established cooperation network, both at national and international level. The national networks include training and counselling institutions, universities, schools, non-governmental organisations, as well as private sector companies. International networks include partners of various profiles coming from every European Union’s country. SEC is an independent, dynamic non-profit NGO providing formal and non-formal education and training in a rural region of Romania. Our training offer includes adult education, in-service teacher training and VET. We offer training programmes in social entrepreneurship, business skills development, transversal competence development, languages (English, German, French, Romanian, Hungarian, Italian, Spanish), ITC for training and education, intercultural competences.

Within our training and education programs we build cooperation with local schools, public institutions, non- governmental organizations, and small businesses.

We have been involved in national and international cooperation projects for over 15 years, developing education and training programmes and tools in the benefit of schools, VET centres and adult education organisations.

Folkuniversitetet is an independent, non-profit adult education association in Sweden. We run adult education courses and develop people through knowledge and creativity.

Folkuniversitetet runs numerous internationally oriented activities such as language courses, courses abroad and projects with an international emphasis. Our idea is to give people the tools to have a richer life through knowledge and creation.

At the International department at Folkuniversitetet we run international projects that focusses on introducing new teaching methods into adult education, including the latest developments in ICT, providing both formal and non-formal educational opportunities and offering specific support for various disadvantaged groups.

Our mission is to act as agents to transfer innovation between Folkuniversitetet and other European countries by initiating own projects or participating in transnational activities coordinated by others.
